Residential visit September 2026

The children set off really excited from school.  Straight into the first activity abseiling. The children did brilliantly, cheering on their friends and encouraging each other.

The children all ate well and were delighted with the range of food choices!

Survival skills followed with shelter building and fire starting!

Camp fire and hot chocolate to end a very busy first day.

The children have settled really well, lights out by 9.30 and sleeping until morning. We have an early breakfast call at 7.30am.

We are incredibly proud of how well they are doing!

Day 2 begins…

All the children slept really well overnight. They were all up and dressed for the wake up call for our early breakfast slot. The boys were asleep by 9.30! The girls…weren’t! We heard snoring from around 10.30 and once they were all asleep, they slept well until the get up time.

All the children have enjoyed the breakfast choices of bacon, hash browns, beans, toast and cereal.

They are excited for the canoeing activity which will take up the morning.

More updates to come…

With tummies full of breakfast the children headed off to canoeing.
Lovely sunny weather as we paddled on the River Dearne. The children played games on the water and travelled an impressive 2.6 miles on the water!  We had some near capsizes…but no one went in…phew!

Children were very hungry after the morning on the water and have enjoyed bolognaise, pasta and garlic bread…plus a few dormitory sweets (we have plenty!)

We’re looking forward to archery and zip wire this afternoon….we’ll share more pictures soon :-)

Archery Session

The children had great meal times and loved the selection of foods.

One of their favourite activities was spending money in the shop to get some PGL souvenirs!
