This term in Literacy we are using Traditional Tales to learn from.
For the first three weeks we are using the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We are really enjoying this story and especially enjoy joining in reading the book. TRIP TRAP TRIP TRAP. We decided that maybe the Troll wasn't such a bad character, and perhaps just misunderstood! We rewrote the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff and wrote it from the Troll's point of view, come and look at the stories in our classroom! We think they are better than the real story!
For the final three weeks of Spring term we are using the story of the Three Little Pigs. We have been enjoying exploring the different materials that the houses were made out of! We are now working on writing a newspaper article to warn people about the Big, Bad Wolf!
We made stick houses!
