This term in Literacy we are using the 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' book by author Eric Carle. This is linking in perfectly with our topic of plants and mini-beasts!
We discussed and wrote a list of the food we would choose to nibble through if we were a Very Hungry Caterpillar! Fruit was a very popular choice, especially apples and strawberries! Now we are looking at non-fiction books to find out as much information as possible about caterpillars and butterflies in preparation for writing our own fact file about them! We have also discussed the features of non-fiction books and we will use them in our writing!
