Walt Disney
For the second half of Summer term we are going to be learning all about the life and work of Walt Disney. In the past the children have show great interest in Disney's work, such as films like Frozen and Toy Story. Class 1 are already super engaged in our topic, and know lots of facts about Disney already! Our classroom has been transformed in Walt Disney's Film Studios where the children have the opportunity to act, direct and film their own movie or if they prefer they can make an animation! We recently have enjoyed watching early Disney films likes Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Steamboat Willie, the children thought they were very funny! Mad Hatter's Tea Party!
Class 1 loved the tea party, and have been absolutely buzzing about it since! It was a great day, and a huge thank you to everyone who could make it. We enjoyed dressing up and we had lots of fun talking about our Disney characters. Then we had lots of fun making party food for the tea party, we enjoyed making jam and lemon curd tarts, cheese sandwiches and ham sandwiches! Then finally, in the afternoon, we enjoyed making different Alice in Wonderland crafts. Have a look at our photos from the day...
