Also, if you could return any school reading books in a plastic bag with your child's name on. We are running low on books and want to make sure that children in school are able to change their books too.

Hello Everyone,

How are you this morning? I hope you are all safe and well. Are you remembering to was your hands regularly.

Thank you so much to all the children who have been in touch and those who have returned their assessments. It is so helpful and will really help me and the other teachers plan for your return in September.

We still want to hear from those of you who are working from home. I don't want you to think I have forgotten about you because that certainly isn't the case. I saw some lovely faces yesterday from Class 2 which was really nice. SA and LCH - I loved catching up with you!

Some of you may have started to visit some more family or some shops. It may have been a little strange but hopefully you felt safe and comfortable.

Tuesday 30th June

Morning boys and girls,

Hope you are all okay! I can't believe I haven't been seen some of you since March and now it is nearly July. What a whirlwind year. Not one we'll forget in a hurry anyway.

Thank you so much to those of you who have been to pick up your books and assessments. If you haven't managed to pick them up there's still plenty of time. We do need them to be completed soon though. A few pages a day of the maths and write a story and recount please. The information is all in the pack. Any questions, ring me at school or drop me an email.

Take care, lots of love.

Miss Ramwell xx

Monday 29th June 2020

Hi everyone!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

Please, please remember that you have all got assessments waiting outside of school. If you haven't picked them up already please try to get them at some point this week. It is really important that you try to complete these so we can identify any gaps in your learning. The assessments are nothing to worry about it. If you don't know the answer, don't panic. Just move on to the next question. Remember, completely unaided.

Have a good day!

Friday 26th June 2020

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all okay! It is getting busier and busier here at school so I apologise for not sending you as many messages or calling you as often.

We are looking forward to welcoming more children back next week. Can't wait to see you again.

I have uploaded next weeks overview but you will need to pop by school to pick up your maths and writing assessments. Remember, it is really important that you complete these so I can prepare for September. It will identify any gaps that will need filling before we can move on.

Just to clarify, if your child is coming into school then they will complete the assessments here. I do need these to be returned to school when they are completed.

The assessments are instead of the English and Maths task normally set on National Oak Academy and White Rose.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

Have a lovely weekend!

Miss Ramwell x

Wednesday 24th June 2020

Afternoon everyone!

I hope you are all okay. Just a quick message for you before I dash off and have something to eat. It's so, so hot in school today. We are all in summer dresses, shorts, hats and all I can smell is sun cream heart

Don't forget I will be leaving some work outside of school for those of you still working from home. I will be expecting you to complete them as it will help me to help you in the new year. It will show me what you know and show me where the gaps are.

Email me if you have any problems!

Enjoy the sun, drink plenty and get that sun cream splashed on.

Take care!

Miss Ramwell xx

Parents, I thank you for all the hard work you have been doing with your children, helping them to keep going through lockdown. I look forward to looking through all their home learning books sometime soon.

Despite your and my best efforts, there will inevitably be gaps which we will need to address on return to school. In order that I can prepare for this, I am going to prepare a bank of maths assessments for you to collect at the end of this week. These will be the end of unit assessments which the children would have completed had they been at school as normal. I would be grateful if you could return them by Monday of the following week, 6 th July. There will be a couple of sheets to do each day, but this will be instead of, NOT as well as, the BBC Bitesize/White Rose Maths/National Oak Academy.

Please be aware that I am using their last checkpoint levels to inform me as to the best fit of assessment for your child. It may be that they have assessments for a year group below their chronological age if this is where I think they are working. In this way, I can be sure that they are secure with that years learning objectives before they move on to the next.

It is extremely important that your child carries out these assessments UNAIDED. If you do help your child in any way, please write on the sheet to say what help has been given. This is so that I can identify gaps in learning and provide extra support when back at school.

I will also be asking your child to do two or three pieces of independent writing to use for assessment. The support rule applies there too...please write a note on the work if you have helped with anything at all. These measures will ensure that I can provide your child with the most appropriate support when they are able to return to school.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Please feel free to ring me outside teaching times if you have any queries. I am usually in school by seven thirty and do not usually leave until after five thirty.

Kind regards, Miss Ramwell

Thursday 18th June 2020

Hi Everyone!

How are you all? I really, really wanted to stay in my bed this morning. This weather makes me want to curl up and watch a film with tea and biscuits. I think it might be a wet play kinda day, don't you?

Unfortunately, things continue to remain uncertain but I just want to tell you how proud I am of you all. I do hope you are able to keep positive and carry on smiling. In times like this it is really hard to stay motivated but you are all doing such a fantastic job. Keep working hard and we'll be back together again soon. You are all amazing!

Please, please, please keep reading and carry on learning your times tables. Today, I want you to try and challenge yourself a little if you can. If you haven't done much writing so far, write me a story. Choose a book and read to your family. There is so much on this page. You don't need to print anything, a pencil and paper is more than enough to keep you going.

Be kind to yourselves.

Are you all well?

The weather has certainly changed today hasn't it? At least it has got me out of cutting the grass yes I'm not sure many of you will be jumping in the paddling pool today. Although, I know that wouldn't stop some of you.

Today is the perfect time to get some home learning in I think. Do I hear lots of moans and groans there? Thought so. It is completely up to you whether you choose something from previous weeks or are working through this weeks overview. I still really like to receive emails from you so please don't forget to send me updates. I shall be calling round some of you today to check in.

Lots of love to you and your families.

Monday 1st June

Morning Everyone,

Welcome back! It's the final part of the Summer Term. Can you believe it? It has certainly been a crazy few months. I hope you are all well and have had a calm, restful week.

For now, you will continue to do your learning at home. Some of you may experience some changes this week so if you are worried just take things steady. I'm sure plenty of you will have questions so keep talking and sharing your thoughts. At the moment, we do not have any information as to when we will start to return but we will keep you updated. Once again, we thank you for your patience during this time.

I have attached all the home learning you will need for this week. Let me know if I have forgotten anything.

Take care!

Miss Ramwell xxx

Okay everyone, time for me to sign off for a few days and have a brain break. If you do have any questions please email me and I will get back to you when I am back up and running. I'm sure I will check my emails regularly because I just can't help myself.

Morning Class 2,

I hope you are safe and well. I am missing you all lots at the moment. I'm really missing my family and friends too. I know some of you are finding it difficult not seeing your family and friends too.

So, the last day of Summer term 1, can you believe it? I honestly can't believe it.

Like I said yesterday I will not be putting any home learning on the website next week. I think now more than ever you need a break and some time away. I want you to spend time with your family, play in the garden, enjoy the sun and relax. I know the last few weeks have been tough so time to rest.

I will share the next week of home learning from June 1st. I will check my emails next week but not as often so please be patient. I promise I will get back to you.

So boys and girls. Put down the pencil. Turn off your screens. Put down the phones. GO AND PLAY!

Sending you all happy, positive thoughts.

Take care and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Thursday 21st May 2020

Hi everyone!

I hope you and your family are all keeping well and are enjoying the sunshine.

We are, unfortunately, still living through very unusual times but I want you to all know how proud I am of you. You have all been taken everything in your stride and are battling on through each day. Parents, thank you for being incredibly supportive throughout. Things have been tough but one way or another we shall get through it together. As always, I am there if you need to talk or ask questions.

Next week would have been half term so I will not be posting any home learning as I feel you and your family need a break. I will also be taking some much needed time away from my laptop too!

I understand you will all have questions about when you will be returning to school but at the moment only some children will be returning from June 1st (F2, Y1 and Y6).  School will give you further updates as and when we have them so for the moment just sit tight. I will continue to provide you with home learning until you return to school...I know there will be mixed feelings about that. Sorry boys and girls, it is what I am paid forcheeky

Missing you all and I look forward to the day when we can all be reunited.

Take care, be good and remember to was your hands.

- drink plenty

- go out in the garden and enjoy the sunshine

Morning Class 2!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I had a lazy Saturday and a very busy Sunday.

Are you ready for another week of learning?

Okay, this week I challenge you to read every day, complete a piece of writing, a piece of maths and begin one of the other topics I have set you. Don't worry if this isn't possible today. There is always another day.

Many of you are going to have lots of questions about the weeks and months to come. I know I do. Please, please ask those questions. Even if we can't answer the question fully at least we can try to put your mind at ease.

I would like lots of emails off everyone this week...just send me an email and say hello. It's nice to know you are all still there listening.

Have a good day!

Take care, keep washing those hands and keep smiling. Miss Ramwell xx

How is everyone today? I am feeling a little Tuesday tired.

So, what are your plans for today? Do they include reading, writing or maths? I hope so!

If not, don't worry. I understand things are a little chaotic at the moment.

Thanks so much to AP, CD and IP for sending me lots of lovely photographs. It was so lovely to hear from you. Keep working hard!

Morning Everyone,

Is everyone okay today?

Okay, where are my emails? I'm feeling very lonely this week! What's happened? Please keep sharing your work with me or ask any questions. You can even just email a quick hello.

I hope you are all able to crack on with your home learning this week. I look forward to seeing all of your finished pieces of work when you return. Don't worry if you start a piece of work and then want to come back to it later. It isn't a problem. Infact, it shows me that you are taking your time and thinking carefully about what you are doing. Either way, make it work for you.

It is my day to be in school today. School feels very strange without you all. Who'd have thought I'd miss all of those loud, noisy children.

Missing you all.

Stay safe. Wash your hands.

Morning boys and girls, mums and dads :)

Ready for another day of another learning?

I'm currently sat in school waiting for some children to join me.

Today then, what maths, writing and reading have you got planned? Are you going to challenge yourself to learn a times table you sometimes struggle with? Or do you fancy having a go completing some of the other subjects? RE? History? I can't wait to see what you get up to anyway.

After this I am going to log in to EdShed, TTRockstars and YUMU to see how you've all been getting on.

Have a lovely day! Even though it's raining :( Speak to you all later.

Are you enjoying your day so far? I can't wait to get out in the sunshine today. It has been lovely to speak to all of you this week.

Don't forget to check back here on Monday for your next block of learning. If you have any questions or need help accessing the resources then please let me know. I know it can be really difficult to get motivated but I am sure once you get started you will be flying.

Have a lovely weekend and I hope you are ready and motivated to get back to learning again next week.

Lots of love,

Miss Ramwell

Hello boys and girls,

How are we all this lovely sunny day?

It has been lovely to speak to some of you this week. I am so pleased to see you are all happy and well. It really put a smile on my face to find out what you have been up to since I last saw you.

Remember, I do want you all to try and keep up with your home learning where possible. I know it is difficult but it means you will be more prepared for when we do return to school.

MC I loved hearing you tell me numbers 1-10 in French. Amazing!

GS it was fantastic to hear you are having fun outside and keeping up with your work too. Well done! I would love to hear about your camera lessons too.

DH I am so pleased you've been working on your reading. Keep up the good work!

IC excellent job keeping up with EdShed and TTRockstars. I'd love to see your writing when it is completed too.

AP it was brilliant to hear that you are working hard too. Well done!

ERE excellent feedback from Mum - keep working hard!

If I haven't called yet I am looking forward to speaking to you. So be ready to tell me all about what you have been up to and have any questions you want answering ready.

Next block of home learning will be available on Monday so remember to keep checking in here to see if I have put anything new on.

Have a productive day and I shall see you all soon hopefully.

Tuesday 21st April 2020

Hello again, I hope you are all safe and well.

What have you got planned for today? I'm currently sat in the hall at school. It's really strange not having you all here.

Don't forget to try and squeeze some learning in today. Email me across what you have been doing. I am so proud of all the work you have completed so far.

Keep up the good work and don't forget to send me your guesses for my birthday cake.

Let's see who can guess the closest.

Miss Ramwell

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter. Have you eaten all your Easter eggs yet?

Welcome to the Summer term. It isn't exactly what we had planned but we can try and make the best out of the situation.

Right then...learning timelaugh

I have attached the home learning overview. I have also uploaded other resources to support the different tasks. Make sure you are doing your daily reading, logging onto EdShed and TTRockstars. so I can have a look at all the wonderful progress you are making.

As always, if you have any problems, questions or just want to say hello then send me an email and I can get back to you.

Lots of love,

Miss Ramwell x

I love seeing pictures of you learning and relaxing at home :)

I wasn't going to say anything as I was expecting to be in school as normal.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!! laugh

Unfortunately, I can't spend it with you or my friends and family but I do get to eat this ENORMOUS cake! Dan ordered this cake for me back in January when he expected to share it with our family but now we have the task of eating it between us. I cannot believe the size of it.

As I can't share any with you lets have some fun.

Take a look at the pictures and have a guess.

How much do you think it weighs?

How many different types of chocolate can you see?

How tall do you think it is?

How many kit-kats have been used to decorate the edges?

Email me your answers and we can see who is the closest. Have fun x

Miss Ramwell's Birthday Cake

Hello everyone, it's just me again!

Just checking in to see how you are all getting on. I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine. I certainly have. Even Polly and Pep (who are indoor cats) have ventured outside in the garden with me.

Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be returning to school just yet but I am still here if you need me. I have my iPad near me most of the day so get in touch. I am really looking forward to speaking to you all next week. I will ring a handful of you each day so keep an ear out for that phone ringing. Let your parents answer first though just in case it isn't me.

I know some days may be harder than others but if you can try and do a little bit of work each day it will keep skills fresh. Also, when it is safe to return to school it will mean you are prepared and ready to go. Check back here on Monday 20th for your next block of learning.

Take care.

Lots of love, Miss Ramwell :) x

Tuesday 14th April

Morning Everyone!

Hope you and your family are safe and healthy.

Did you have a good Easter? I have spent the last two days eating lots of chocolate too.

I am just checking in to let you all know I am still here if you need me. Next week, I plan on giving you all a quick call just to see how you are getting on. You can also ask me any questions. I am really looking forward to speaking to you all. I am certainly missing my chatterboxeslaughcheeky

For now I want you to keep reading, go on EdShed and TTRockstars. This will help keep those basic skills fresh.

Anyway, I am off to prepare some work for you for next week.

Enjoy your day. Take care boys and girls.

Miss Ramwell x

Hello everyone,

I hope you and all your family are happy and healthy. Have you all had a nice weekend? I did manage to do some baking but forgot to take a photograph for you all. Oops!! The cake was delicious though.

Today should be the start of your Easter Holidays. Under these unusual circumstances you may have forgotten (I nearly did!). I do not expect you to do any of your home learning pack over the next few weeks as I'm sure you would like a bit of a rest but if you do want to keep working then please feel free. I have attached a document with some activities you may want to do to keep you entertained. There is also plenty on the class pages for you to have a look at. One thing I do want you to do is to read daily.

I will be having some time away from the laptop for a little bit but I am still available on email. I will continue to check them daily just in case anyone needs me for anything. Please continue to send me pictures of what you have been up to. It really cheers me up to see you smiling and having fun at home.

I hope you have a lovely Easter. Fingers crossed the Easter bunny comes to visit too! laugh

Check back her on Monday 20th April for your next block of learning.

Take care and wash your hands before and after eating all that chocolate too!

Friday 3rd April 2020

Hello Class 2,

Is everyone okay this morning? Ready for another day?

It’s Friday again!

As our second week draws to a close I’d just like to say well done to each and every one of you. You have all worked so hard and I am incredibly proud of you. This is a difficult and uncertain time for everyone but we’ve made it together.

This weekend I plan to spend some time in the garden and I plan on doing some baking. Have you made any delicious treats whilst we’ve been off? I will upload some pictures when I’ve done so you can all have a look.

Have a nice relaxed weekend!

Take care of yourselves and I will speak to you all very soon.

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Morning boys and girls,

I hope that you and your family are well.

Thank you so much for all the email updates. I've really enjoyed reading them. Huge apologies to HB whose emails ended up in the junk box by accident. Silly me for not thinking to check!

What have you got planned for today? Some time in the garden? Perhaps some reading? A short walk with your close family? I will be at my laptop working today. I am going to have a cup of tea and some breakfast though first.

Have a good day!

Take care and don't forget to email me some pictures of you learning at home.

Wednesday 1st April 2020

Hi everyone,

I am missing you all lots, how is your day going so far? We're now in April...time is flying by!

Today, I have been thinking about I can turn negative thoughts into positive ones. It is really hard to be stuck indoors but at least we know we are safe. I've also been thinking about all the things I am thankful for. Perhaps you could take 5 minutes out of your day to think about all the things that you are thankful for?

This afternoon I would love to see a piece of writing that you have completed. If you can email me me a piece I'd love to read it. If you can't, that's fine. It'll be a lovely surprise for me when we return to school.

Oh and I forgot to say yesterday. I STARTED READING A BOOK! Can I get a round of applause?

Keep busy, wash your hands regularly and think about what you are thankful for.

Good Afternoon Children,

How is your Tuesday going so far?

Thank you so much for all your emails. It is really lovely to hear from you. Remember, any pictures you send me I will put on our class page to show your friends. I am missing you all. It's only a short message today but I am watching my emails.

Don't forget to be kind, wash your hands and stay positive.

Miss Ramwell

To all my parents/carers,

Have you adjusted to the new routine yet? No? Me neither...

As this is such a difficult and uncertain time I am hoping the work I have provided is not too overwhelming for you or your child. The last thing I want to do is put unnecessary pressure on your family. Any learning can be adapted and there is no right or wrong way to present work. Please, feel free to be creative. All I want is for you and your family to stay safe.

Take care and I am always here if you need me.

Miss Ramwell

Monday 30th March 2020

Morning Class 2,

I hope you all had a good weekend. My goal this week is to pick up a book. Last week, I was thinking how I am always trying to encourage you to read yet I rarely make time to read myself.

I had a lovely email on Friday from Mrs Hunt. She says a BIG HELLO and asked me to tell you that she is missing you all. If you have any messages for Mrs Hunt then I can pass those on too!

Well, week 2 of home learning. Are you ready? I am looking forward to hearing off some more children this week. If you have read my messages drop me an email. Send me some of the work you have completed or even if you are part way through and want to see what I think. Let me know how you are getting on.

Below I have attached an overview of learning activities to complete. Although, if you or a family member are unwell then I understand this won't be priority at the moment. If you are having any problems getting on any of the online learning sites, please contact me so I can help you.

Missing you all. Take care everybody.

Home Learning Pictures

27th March 2020

Afternoon everyone!

Well, we've made it through the first week of home learning. I've still not got a routine going but I think I'm happy to go with the flow for now. Please do not panic if you haven't completed your home learning pack this week. I am more than happy for you to continue working through it next week. I know how hard it can be to keep motivated but at least try to do some reading each day. I may even read a book myself next week.

On Monday, I will upload an overview for the week which you can work through at your own pace. I am desperate to see some of the work you've completed so send me a piece of work that you are most proud of this week. I did give spellings out last Friday for those children who wanted to keep some normality. If you did get your parents to test you then ask them really nicely to send me the results. I'd love to see how you got on. Don't worry if you didn't. I completely understand.

One thing I really, really want you to do though is enjoy the sunshine and spend time with your family.

Enjoy your weekend guys!

Morning boys and girls laugh

I hope you are all staying safe. Are you still being good? I'm sure you are winkangel

Why not take a look at the "30 Day Lego Challenge" that I put on class pages yesterday. I would love to see pictures too. I'll be able to put them on here so your friends can take a look.

As for the rest of the day, well, you know what to do.

Have a good day. I am here if you need me.

Take care.

Miss Ramwell

26th March 2020

Hello everyone laugh

It's me again. How are you?

I am beginning to go a little stir crazy indoors so I am going to get out in the garden for a little while today. Yesterday, I was in school and it was very quiet without you lot!

Who has been joining in with Joe Wicks Youtube workout? I am tempted to have a go tomorrow.

Keep going with your home learning packs please. Log on to TTRockstars, EdShed and YUMU. I am checking each day. Well done if you've managed to get on. Also, keep hold of any work you complete so you can show me when we get back to school. Keep your reading records up to date too if you can.

Don't forget you can contact me on the class email. Pictures of you working from home would be lovely too!

Speak to you soon.

Good Afternoon Class 2,

How is everyone? I hope you are all behaving for your mums and dads. It's a tricky time for them too remember! Things are continuing to change everyday but only to keep us all safe. I know some of you may be a bit worried and unsure so remember it is okay to ask questions.

Keep going with your home learning packs and I'll be checking TTRockstars and EdShed most days to see how you've been getting on. I am available via email so ask questions, send pictures of your learning or even just say hello.

Be good, wash your hands and keep smilinglaugh

Miss Ramwell :)

Mrs Hunt sent me this photo today. Look at how fabulous you all look!

WELCOME TO CLASS 2!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well!

For the week beginning 23rd March, please use the resources printed in the Home Learning Pack. I hope this will give us all some time to adjust to our new routine and explore resources which have already been provided.

Starting next week, I will upload the weeks key learning for English, Maths and Topic. I am currently preparing weekly planning which will be uploaded every Monday morning for you to use. It will include any additional information that I think you may find useful.

Please do not feel like you are on your own. If you have any questions then please email me on the email provided and I will do what I can to help support you and your child. Also, please send photos of your home learning. I can put them on the class page and it will be really lovely to see what you are all getting up to.

Stay safe!

Miss Ramwell :)

Class 2 began the term by exploring the life of Charles Darwin and his journey to the Galapagos Islands. We were amazed by the wildlife so we decided to do some further research. Later we moved on to the work of David Attenborough which inspired us to create our own wildlife documentaries.

We hope you enjoy watching!
