Seasons

Beautiful Britain!

Seasons

For the first half of the Summer term we are learning all about seasons! Our classroom has become a beautiful spring day, with lots of greenery and our very own garden centre where we can buy the equipment we need to grow our own plant! We also have our own weather area where we can record the weather forecast for the day. Have a look at our learning about seasons below...

Our Learning...

We went on a bear hunt!

First of all we went on a Bear Hunt around our school, we went searching through all the different areas. We walked through the swishy swishy grass on the field, splashed in the muddy puddles in the boat and crunched on the pebbles. At the end of the bear hunt we ended up in a deep, dark cave where we found, not a bear, but a fox cub!

The children were so excited about the bear hunt in school we decided to make a full day trip of it! The weather wasn't great so we spent some time at school, but we had even more fun! We made giant maps on the floor in our classroom and then got into teams to build dens. Once we had made our den we sat in them to eat our picnic. We were able to go for a short walk through the village in the afternoon, but unfortunately we found no bears. Have a look at our pictures to see what a fantastic day we had...

Spring Tea Party!

What a brilliant day we had! Class 1 had so much fun doing lots of spring activities throughout the day, including make our tea party sandwiches. In the afternoon parents were invited to join in our fun and get involved with some spring crafts. A huge thank you to everybody who was able to come and a special thank you to Darwin's Mummy who took these great photographs of our day!
